Our Environmental Packaging Policy

Since 2015, we have used a recyclable, paper branded tape to seal all of our parcels. We do sometimes have to use plastic based tapes, such as “Fragile” tape but we do try to do this as little as possible.

In 2021 we invested in a cardboard shredding machine. This allowed us to start shredding cardboard boxes that our stock arrives in meaning it could be re-used one more time before being recycled.

We now collect cardboard boxes from a neighbouring business, therefore helping them reduce the amount of one use cardboard they send to be recycled.

For 2023, we are trialling a period of re-using single use plastic bags. You may receive one of these in your order. They may be bags previously used to store an item of clothing, electrical device etc. These will have all been quarantined before being added to any customer order to reduce any risks of Covid.

During this trial process, the bags will have a sticker on them which says “I am a Re-Purposed Single Use Plastic Bag”.

Any Air Pockets, Bubble Wrap etc received in parcels are being re-used. We do not buy in any of these. Customer Feedback received so far to all of these small changes has been positive.
