Montgomery Hall boasts six large rooms and impressive hallways, being the epitome of stately grandeur it stands proud as a home for a Lord and Lady or can be transformed into a modern abode for the chicest of residents.

No wonder Montgomery Hall is the stylists' favourite! It has been featured in numerous window displays across London and been loaned-out for many editorial spreads including a centrefold with Peaches Geldof for Company magazine. Most recently Montgomery Hall featured in the BBC series, Upstairs Downstairs, alongside Keeley Hawes, but watch this space - it could be somewhere even more A-list next year!

Montgomery Hall

Next year marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of Great Expectations, one of Charles Dickens' most famous and well remembered novels. Casting Miss Havisham as the betrayed and embittered guardian to the young Estella, Dickens gives us a character who has endured over the centuries and become a stereotype in our cultural reference points. Her home is the beleaguered Satis House, cast into ruin as Miss Havisham fades into her old age and broken-hearted misery, taking her once grand residence with her. Here we've used Montgomery Hall to show you a sample of what can be achieved with a dolls' house and a little imagination, and a touch of pencil shavings, honestly, that's all that's been used to grime up the paint work! You could of course, take it much further adding in details such as broken window panes, birds under the eaves, creeping vines pulling out brickwork and maybe even the odd mouse running along the window sill! See how we turned Dolly the Washer Woman, Wilfred and Ruth into the three leading characters, by visiting the Inspiration Pages.
