Entering is Easy

Order your Village Hall today!
Customise the Village Hall to create your fantasy display. Adapt, modify and decorate the Village Hall in any way you wish.
Take at least 2 photographs of both the exterior and interior of your creation, and 1 photograph of yourself beside your entry. Entries will not be accepted without good quality, clear photographs. Please clearly label all your photographs with your name, address and customer number.
Complete the entry form and describe where your inspiration came from for your entry, what materials and techniques you used to achieve this build and finish, etc.
Send your completed entry form, description, and photographs, to Competition Secretary, The Dolls House Emporium, High Holborn Road, Ripley, Derbyshire DE5 3YD, or by email to competitionsecretary@dollshouse.com.
Closing date for receipt of entries is 31st August 2010.
Your winning entry will be displayed at The Dolls House Emporium shop in Ripley for 3-6 months.

Village halls have been a staple part of rural settlements for many, many years, as the meeting place for the local brownies and cubs, the venue for teenage discos and birthday parties and the traditional heart of many villages.

These days though, village halls can be so much more: the modern weekend retreat of a wealthy couple, a children's day nursery, even a light and bright office space or a local bistro.

Of course, many of them continue to be the traditional village halls they have always been, supporting the local community and providing a space big enough for those fêtes, bring-and-buy sales and the WI meetings.
