PRIDE AND PREJUDICE FREE Wedding Gift Collection
4 February 2013
There’s a new literary collection for you to enjoy – building up over the next three months.
Introducing a charming collection of beautiful wedding gifts, created in honour of Jane Austen’s romantic novel, Pride & Prejudice, which is enjoying its 200th year in print.
The story follows Elizabeth Bennet, as she deals with issues of manners, education and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th century England.
To celebrate Elizabeth’s marriage to the notable Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy we have created this beautiful collection of gifts to adorn their marital home, at Darcy’s ‘Pemberley’ estate.
This exclusive collection is FREE to collect from February to May - simply place one order over £40 on furniture and accessories each month to qualify.
Once you’ve completed your collection of four gifts you will automatically receive a FREE bonus gift in May - this beautiful floral wedding garland, just like the one Elizabeth and Darcy walked under when they took their first steps out of the church as husband and wife.
We are also pleased to introduce these exquisite porcelain handcrafted dolls, portraying Elizabeth and Darcy in all their finery on their special day, available to buy separately to complete your celebration scene.
Why not start planning your room display now, around some of the novel’s best-known lines: “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife” or “A lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony, in a moment”, perhaps!
The first item in the wedding gift collection is the pretty heart cushion, complete with lace edging and ‘E&F’ embroidery-design transfer.
Spend over £40 on furniture and accessories this month to secure yours, absolutely FREE.
Exquisite high-spec literary collection from The Dolls House Emporium
30 January 2013
To mark the 200th year in print of Jane Austen’s romantic novel, Pride and Prejudice, The Dolls House Emporium is introducing a pair of exquisite porcelain hand-crafted dolls, portraying Elizabeth and Darcy in their wedding day finery.
The much-loved story follows Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, education and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of the early 19th Century.
Both of the new dolls are hand-crafted in finest porcelain and dressed in full regency attire.
Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy’s costume features a handsome waistcoat under a fitted morning suit with a cravat and top hat. He features perfectly groomed sideburns! Elizabeth’s hair is curled and styled, and she wears an ivory wedding dress complete with over dress and veil. Underneath she’s wearing silky bloomers with lace detail. Delicate detailing is a feature of both dolls’ outfits.
The Dolls House Emporium has also created a beautiful collection of gifts to adorn their marital home, at Darcy’s ‘Pemberley’ estate.
Along with the new dolls they provide inspiration for an imaginative room display: one option might be to re-dress a dolls’ house for the wedding breakfast – after first spending a little time re-reading Pride and Prejudice to decide on a scene that best suits your skills.
The supporting gifts in the exclusive limited edition collection have been made available FREE to collect with a minimum spend until May. They include a pretty heart cushion, complete with lace edging and ‘E and F’ embroidery-design transfer, a ‘watercolour painting’ of their marital home, Darcy’s Pemberley estate, a pair of pretty Coat Hangers with E and F Initials, a pair of silhouette portraits and a beautiful floral wedding garland.
The time is right to start planning a brand new room display around some of the novel’s best-known lines: "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife" or “A lady's imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony, in a moment”, perhaps!

Starting Your Dolls’ House Collection
11 March 2009
Before you purchase a doll house kit, there are a few things you need to keep in mind:
- There are many different themes and types in this fascinating world of imagination so be sure to have a good browse around. If possible, visit dolls' house museums or stores to give you an idea of what dolls’ houses are all about. Use the internet and your local library to research certain periods and styles so you know which one really appeals to you.
- Browse through our catalogue and view the houses in more detail on the website. You'll see that the majority of our houses can be dressed in a variety of periods and you can change them to suit your needs.
- Once you've decided on your style and period you'll have a much clearer idea of the pieces you want to buy, the lighting you'll need and how the decor will add further flavour to your house.
- Once you've decided which dolls' house you want, you'll need to think about how much work you want to do. Do you want to be able to paint and decorate the whole thing yourself? Or would you prefer the QuickStyle kits which come fully painted and externally decorated so all you need to do is build it and select the interior decorations.
Once you've decided on your house and selected your kit, you just need to order it to be on the way to being a fully fledged 'dolls house addict', we welcome you!
