H&M’s life-size dolls' house
21 August 2013
In a sleek fusion of contemporary design, high-street fashion and good old childhood dolls’ house style, artisan design studio Knock has created a life-size dolls’ house experience for H&M Home.
In a playful surrealist experience, the large-scale dolls’ house presents the collections in six themed rooms decorated with the products of H&M’s home range.
The cross-section house was presented to the world’s fashion and design media in an empty Stockholm theatre, making use of dollhouse prioritisation of design and position as an innovative showcasing technique.

Ad agency gets inspiration from a dolls’ house

Some people see dolls’ houses as being quaint and old fashioned but not Dutch advertising agency, Muse.
When asked to create something amazing for the opening of H&M’s new flagship store in Amsterdam, they transformed a historic building into a fantastical dolls’ house.
Using 3D projection mapping, they fashioned a surreal fairytale of 3D lighting and magical effects in a giant dolls’ house.
It might only have lasted three minutes on the night but the spectacle has proved to have a much longer life than that thanks to the abundance of video clips on the internet.
It really does look amazing and unlike any dolls’ house you’ve ever seen. Take a look for yourself on YouTube
