Northants miniature needs a new home

7 March 2013

Sad news from Kettering, as the local dolls’ house club has announces it is closing down because of falling membership.

That’s despite the hobby continuing to prove popular both there, nation-wide and the world over!

The Northants Miniaturists’ Association was set up 25 years ago by Margaret Downing and is now looking for a permanent place to display its ambitious model of the town, created when the club was in its early days and depicting 1,000 years of life in Northampton.

The Northampton Chronicle has an interesting story about the group this week.

Read about their club, its history, the members – and their latest local dolls’ house fair on Sunday, March 31 at the Corn Hill Market in Kettering, between 10am and 4pm.
