Hand-made dolls' house will aid care home patients
13 May 2013
"This hand-built doll's house really is exquisite - every brick has been cut from a piece of tile. The residents absolutely love it and it can actually be an effective therapy for patients with dementia."
These are the words of Ty Waunarlwydd care home manager Jane Thomas, reported by the News Wales website
after son of a former resident donated a very special family heirloom after her death.
He was so impressed with the care his mother received that he handed over a doll's house that took his father 10 years to build from scratch to the home.
