Dolls' house was made from wood reclaimed after the Blitz

22 April 2013

A Watford charity has raised £75 by auctioning off a dolls' house built from wood reclaimed after the Blitz of the Second World War.

The Watford Obswerver reports how the dolls-house was donated by 79-year-old Gill Hollander, who moved house and discovered she had no space for it.

It was made by a policeman and a fireman who collected the material from bomb sites in north London during the war.
